Work With Us
Start with a conversation, not a contract
Every engagement starts the same way. A direct conversation about what you're trying to figure out. No deck needed, no commitment implied. Write to [email protected] with a few lines about your situation. Where you are, what you're weighing, what a good outcome looks like. You'll get a considered reply, not a sales sequence.
Two things usually happen. Either the problem fits and we propose a clearly scoped first step, or it doesn't and we tell you straight, usually with a pointer to what we would do in your position. Both are useful. Neither costs you anything.
Three ways engagements take shape
Research sprint. You have a market, a target or a hunch that deserves a serious look. Over a few weeks we map the demand evidence, the competitive economics, the distribution costs and the constraint that matters. You get a decision document. Build, test, or walk away, with the reasoning visible. This is the right first step for most owners, and for investors who want real diligence instead of another surface level report.
Validation engagement. You have a direction and you need to know if it's real before serious money goes in. We design and run the smallest honest tests of the assumptions that carry the weight. Demand probes, pricing tests, channel trials. Kill criteria agreed in writing before results arrive. You end up with measured evidence, whichever way it points. A clean kill at this stage is the cheapest failure you'll ever buy. A clean pass is conviction you can build on.
Execution partnership. The idea earned a build. We work as the operating core next to you. Architecture, systems, automation, build versus buy calls, vendor picks, measurement, team design, launch, and the early scaling. This is the deepest form of the work and we keep it deliberately selective. Carrying a decision all the way to a running business only works for a few clients at a time.
What to bring
Whatever you have, and honesty about what you don't. Current numbers if the business exists. The constraint you suspect. What you tried before and what happened. The decision you're actually trying to make. The most valuable thing you can bring is being ready to hear the evidence says no. If you want a study that confirms a decision you already made, we're the wrong firm, and we'll say that early instead of late.
Confidentiality and boundaries
Your situation, data and plans are confidential by default, and we're comfortable under NDA. We also take one engagement per competitive situation. We will not research the same opportunity for two competing clients.
One boundary protects everyone. Stern Capital does business research and execution consulting. We are not an investment adviser, broker, law firm or accounting firm. We don't manage money and we don't recommend securities. Where an engagement needs licensed advice, we work next to your counsel and advisers instead of pretending to replace them.
Practical notes
- Where. Engagements run remote by default, built for distributed teams and time zones.
- When. Serious inquiries get a substantive reply, usually within two business days.
- Fit. The practice is deliberately small. If we can't take an engagement on a timeline that serves you, we say so immediately.
The address again. [email protected]. Want to calibrate first? Read what we do, how we work and where this comes from, then write when you're ready.
Questions we hear
How do I contact Stern Capital?
Email [email protected] with a few lines about your situation. Where you are, what you're weighing, what a good outcome looks like. No deck needed. Serious inquiries get a substantive reply, usually within two business days. A considered answer, not a sales sequence.
What does a first engagement cost?
Scope gets proposed after the first conversation, because an honest price needs the question understood first. The structure keeps early commitments small on purpose. Research sprint first, then validation, then execution. Each stage stands alone, and continuing is a decision the evidence has to earn.
Is my idea or data kept confidential?
Yes. Client situations, data and plans are confidential by default, and NDAs are welcome. Stern Capital also takes one engagement per competitive situation. We will not research the same opportunity for two competing clients.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. Engagements run remote by default, built for distributed teams and time zones. When work needs jurisdiction specific professional advice on legal, tax or regulatory questions, it runs next to the client's licensed local advisers.
